Oldham Greenhill Community, Sports and Recreation Centre is an organisation that focuses on both communal and individual development through the use of sport.  The concept for this design concentrates on these values and attempts to support progression. The community centre doesn’t have much of a connection with the outside world. There are no windows in the main space, indicating that there’s no natural light or sense of environment. Taking inspiration from natures patterns, the new interior forms a welcoming atmosphere that supports everyone's journey. The space is green in its aesthetic and finishes. Materials are sustainable and existing fittings have been recycled, to reduce waste and save money.
