ABOUT

Design is everywhere. We commonly overlook ingenious inventions. Most household items, a toothpaste tube, vacuum cleaner and umbrella, were built to make life easier.  Our living spaces are similar. A well-designed interior can significantly improve our everyday life and wellbeing. During my second year at university, I've learnt how to craft functional spaces that fulfil the client's needs through my understanding of spatial design, materiality, building regulations and user-centred design. My course has encouraged me to be inquisitive; I can appreciate good design and recognise and propose improvements for bad design.

I am passionate about protecting our planet and understand the devastating consequences bad design has on the environment. As my knowledge of sustainable materials and biophilic principles has developed, I have attempted to adopt green schemes within my projects. Designers can make a huge difference and therefore have a responsibility to be conscious about the impact their creations have on our globe.

I love to learn. I have visited cities, admired their architecture and embraced their cultures. I experienced diverse ways of living with an open mind and witnessed the benefit design can have on society. I am excited to develop my knowledge of interior design and the range of sectors across the industry, focusing on how I can improve conditions for all in each project.
